Miss Jackie Stevens is smart, beautiful, and talented. I had the privelege of having Miss Stevens as a student in my music theory class several years ago and she is everything you would expect from an "A" student. She made me smile every day with her understanding and her work ethic. 

Additionally, You should hear Miss Stevens sing! She has the most beautiful, crystal clear soprano voice. She was a featured soloist at the 2012 Texas Music Educators Association Convention (TMEA) and played the role of "Despina" in Texas Tech's production of "Cosi Fan Tutte" this past spring.

I know Miss Stevens will be successful with whatever avenue she chooses in life. Here are her headshots:

Miss Kathleen Langford is made for the stage. She has the passion, talent, and drive to make it in show business and has already been featured as leading characters in many shows. She has been featured as Mary Lennox in Texas Tech's production of "The Secret Garden" and Gabriella Montez in the Lubbock Moonlight Musicals' production of "High School Musical" to name only a couple of the roles she has played. Miss Langford has the voice and charisma to make it in show business and I am excited to see where her future takes her.

In addition to her great talent, Miss Langford is also a wonderful person. She is kind and always has a smile on her face. She is determined and perserverent. In other words, she has what it takes to go far in a perfoming arts career.

Stephanie Council is currently a doctoral choral conducting student at Texas Tech. She has come to Lubbock from Princeton, New Jersey where she completed a Master's Degree in Choral Conducting at Westminster Choir College.

Ms. Council's genuine love for the choral art shines through.  I felt a real moment of connection with her when she declared that Herbert Howells' "Requiem" could be be the greatest a capella choral work of the 20th century.

Ms. Council has the unique opportunity to work for the "Lisbon Summer Fest Choir and Chamber Choir" as the alto section leader this summer. She needed headshots specifically for this event. I present them to you now:

Last week, I had the privilege of photographing Dr. Matthew Santa, department chair of music theory at Texas Tech University. Dr. Santa has held an important role in my life over the past nine years. He has served as my major professor, as a music theory colleague, and as a friend. 

Dr. Santa is a master teacher. He knows his subject matter, is efficient in the classroom, and offers regular feedback that maximizes his students' chance at success. His consistency provides his students with a safe place to learn and grow. Texas Tech is a better place because he is on faculty. 

Dr. Santa is a scholar. He wrote a textbook called Hearing Form (Routledge, 2010), which compels the student to identify musical forms with and without the score. The identification of phrase endings and cadences by ear ultimately enhances one's understanding and appreciation of music.

Finally, Dr. Santa is a great person. He is ethical, fair, reliable, trustworthy, and efficient. I couldn't ask for a better person to work with on a daily basis.

Beautiful, gorgeous, and talented Arielle made my job easy. Her piercing green eyes, flawless skin, and captivating personality shine through on camera. Arielle is truly one of the funniest persons I know and you should hear her sing! This girl has the voice, charisma, and beauty to make a career in the performing arts. I am excited to see where Arielle's future takes her.
